Why come to a

Trauma-Informed Retreat?

Often clients come on my private or small group retreats because they are struggling to move forward, and desperately want to stop looking back.

I learned long ago that your body cannot heal until it is in a safe and calm environment. For this reason I designed my immersive retreats to be located in peaceful and scenic countryside settings for nervous system regulation.

The 4 -7 day escapes involve trauma-informed integrative talking therapies with a master lever psychotherapist with extensive experience of relationship trauma and healing in nature. We will focus on nervous system regulation via psychoeducation, movement, meditation and mindfulness, journaling prompts for help with processing and restorative time walking in nature. With of course, very important, plenty of ‘you-time’ for tranquillity and reflection.

Depending on your emotional safety and ability to self-regulate, you can chose therapy sessions either 1-2-1 or in groups each day,

Whether you come privately or in a small, same sex group of 6 where your story can be shared and believed, your therapeutic journey can be boosted by the fully immersive therapeutic environment.

Take the first couragous step on your road to recovery and book your free consultation call, after all, ‘what is unresolved, resurfaces’.

For you, maybe;

A relationship has ended and taken your sense of self with it.
A toxic divorce has left you dysregulated, doubting reality, and exhausted.
A history of emotional, psychological, or physical abuse has finally caught up with your nervous system.
Family relationships feel confusing, damaging, or impossible to untangle alone.

By the time you’re considering a therapeutic residential stay, talking for an hour a week often isn’t enough anymore.

You don’t just need insight.
You need containment, safety, depth, and momentum.

This is psychotherapy, held differently.

My bespoke residential stays are for people who need real therapeutic work, delivered in a way that allows the body and mind to finally settle enough for change to happen.

Unlike weekly therapy, where life keeps interrupting the process, a residential stay removes you from the environment that keeps re-triggering your wounds. There is space to slow down, to be held consistently, and to work at depth without having to “pull yourself back together” at the end of each session.

You are not performing wellness.
You are doing serious relational healing.

Why choose this instead of weekly therapy?

First of all, I recommend both, however, in my experience some distressing experiences require deep immersion, rather than drip-feeding to accelerate hope and recovery.

Relational trauma, narcissistic abuse, and family trauma live in the nervous system. They don’t resolve through insight alone. In a residential setting:

• Your nervous system has time to down-regulate
• Patterns become visible more quickly
• Defence mechanisms soften naturally
• The body starts to feel safe enough to process
• Breakthroughs that might take months can happen in days

This isn’t about intensity for the sake of it.
It’s about giving your system what it actually needs to change. Safety.

Why choose this as a jump-start to ongoing therapy?

Many people use my retreat stay as a turning point.

It can:
• Break cycles of rumination and emotional paralysis
• Restore clarity after gaslighting or psychological manipulation
• Reconnect you with your instincts and sense of self
• Reduce shame and self-blame
• Create a stable foundation for ongoing therapy to actually work

Clients often tell me:

“I finally understand what’s been happening to me.”
“I feel grounded for the first time in years.”
“I’ve stopped questioning my reality.”

From there, weekly therapy becomes far more effective because you’re no longer starting from crisis.

What makes my work different

I am a Master’s-level integrative psychotherapist specialising in relational trauma. I work with the psychological and nervous-system impact of:

• Narcissistic and emotionally abusive relationships
• Domestic abuse and coercive control
• Toxic family systems
• Chronic invalidation and attachment trauma
• Repeated relational breakdowns

I bring clinical training, lived understanding, and a deeply attuned therapeutic presence. You will be met with clarity, compassion, and honesty, without minimising, pathologizing, or rushing your process.

You will be heard.
You will be believed.
You will not be asked to “reframe” something that was genuinely harmful.

Who this is for

This is for you if:

• You feel emotionally overwhelmed, numb, or stuck
• You’re questioning yourself after a toxic relationship
• You’re exhausted from holding it all together
• You need safety before you can go deeper
• You want meaningful change, not coping strategies

A final word

This work is not about fixing you.
It’s about helping you reconnect with your true self after experiences that taught you to disappear, doubt, or endure too much.

A bespoke therapeutic residential stay offers time, space, and skilled relational holding — so healing doesn’t have to happen in fragments anymore.

If you’re ready to begin again from a place of safety and understanding, I would be honoured to work with you.
